pH Meter
Operations

1. Mount the electrodes in the electrode holder and connect to the proper terminals of the pH meter. See diagrams in the manual. Some types of electrodes have both the reference and indicator parts in the same electrode. Most have the two parts as two different electrodes.

2. Adjust the level of the electrode holder so that the electrodes never touch the bottom of the beaker used. Allow the electrodes to soak for a period of time (see manual for how long in certain conditions). Adjust against buffers if necessary.

3. Rinse the electrodes and immerse in solution to be tested. Stir.

4. Read the pH from the meter

5. After use, store the electrodes as per the specific electrode manual.
