Note: the major hazard with heating blocks are burns from mishandling. Always treat a heating block as if it was hot.
Note: Never use a heater to heat a material above the auto-ignition temperature.
Installation
1. Find an easily accessible location away from drafts and near a grounded power supply capable of the amount of power needed. Do not place the heater near flammables or near a table edge.
2. Place an immersion type thermometer into the temperature well of the heating block.
Operations
1. Insert the plug and switch the heater from OFF to ON/LOW/HIGH (depends on type of heater).
2. Use the thumbwheel dial to between 0 and 10 to set the temperature. See manual for correlation between the dial setting and the actual temperature.
3. Once the temperature is stabilized, place material to be heated on the block.
4. When not in use, turn the block OFF and unplug the power supply.
Maintenance
1. Since there are no moving parts the heating block just ahs to be cleaned. Unplug the heater and let coo. Wash the bock with a cloth and soapy water. Scrub well and rice off. Let dry.
