Getting to the Rosen Building

Rosen Bldg. Picture

The Mullins Lab is on the 3rd floor of the Rosen Building (960 Republican St.) in the South Lake Union area of Seattle, at the corner of Republican St. and Terry Ave. N, one block east of Westlake Ave. N and a block south of Mercer St.

Mass Transit

The Rosen Bldg. may be reached via:

Driving Directions

  1. From Interstate 5 (southbound mainline and express lanes or northbound mainline), take the Mercer Street exit
  2. Turn left onto Fairview Avenue N at the light at the end of ramp (heading south)
  3. Turn right onto Republican St. after one block (next light)
  4. Go two blocks west; our building is on the northwest corner of Republican St. and Terry Ave. N (960 Republican St., tan colored building, see picture).

Parking

There is limited free one hour in the vicinity of the Rosen Bldg. Many nearby streets have metered parking with 2 or 10 hour time limits.

For offstree parking:
  • Behind the Rosen Building: Visitors parking ($7/day) or with UW Parking monthly permits:
    1. Continue west; turn right onto Westlake Ave. N
    2. Go one block north; turn right onto Mercer St.
    3. Go ½ block east; turn right into the pay parking lot
    4. Purchase daily parking at north of the lot or display a valid UW permit
  • Visitors with daily UW Parking permits or individual commuter tickets may park at 9th Ave. N and Republican St, 1½ block west of Rosen:
    1. Continue west past Westlake Ave. N
    2. Go ½ block west; turn left into the pay parking lot
    3. Display a valid UW permit

The building is security controlled so please call to be let in using the phone by the rear or front door; dial any of these numbers:
